La Salle is a Catholic, Lasallian University located on a 133 acre campus in The City of Philadelphia. The University was founded in 1863 by the Christian Brothers, a teaching order inspired by St. John Baptist De La Salle, The Christian Brothers operate over 1,000 teaching establishments in 80 countries educating approximately 800,000 students. La Salle University is a part of this international network of Lasallian Schools. La Salle University offers 42 full-time undergraduate majors, 25 Division I Sports and over 120 student clubs and organizations. Approximately 3,200 undergraduate students attend the University. The average class size is 22 students with a 12:1 student to faculty ratio. 92% of the University's graduates are either employed full-time, volunteering or pursuing additional education one year after graduation. The University has been continually recognized as a transformative institution providing one of the strongest value propositions in higher education.
