About University of Alabama

The University of Alabama is a public research university known for its strong academic programs, research contributions, and athletic history. Alabama, as it is also known, is one of the oldest and largest universities in the southern US. 

The University of Alabama is particularly known for programs in the Culverhouse College of Business and the College of Engineering. Popular majors at the university include engineering, computer science, business, biology, communication studies, and nursing. Alabama’s rivalry with Auburn University is one of the most notable rivalries in all of college sports and the Auburn vs Alabama Iron Bowl, which dates back to the 1800s, is one of the biggest events of the year.
